Its your money and your life, take control of it!

Upon graduating from college and finding myself in the real world; I quickly learned that its a tricky place out there. Despite all the business classes, real world finance was very different from corporate finance. I had real world bills to pay, real income and suddenly a real retirement that I was told that I should start thinking about.

Looking around, I saw that my friends were in similar predicaments. We are all struggling with: student loans, health insurance, rent, and somehow trying balance a fair social life. How could we all be unprepared for this? Despite some preparation in college, it was all just a teaser for what was to come.

Looking around for some advice, blogs were sparse. Most advice on the internet was for young teenagers or real grown ups, nothing specifically targeted for young professionals like me. Some were full of advertisements and others felt way too scripted. I wanted real advice from someone my own age.

So that’s why I decided to start this blog. I’ve been fortunate enough to have had good advice growing up and often find myself sharing it friends my age. I’d like to share it with you. That’s what I want this blog to be, just logical and sound advice from a real young professional.

Check back here frequently for helpful tips and explanations of tricky topics. I believe that our money should work for us and not the other way around.
